With all that’s been going on in the world these last few months, one upside is that it’s freed up some time to go through images from the last few months, and make them available for purchase. One of those shots it this one – “Sunset on the Aspen, Telluride, CO”.
Telluride, along with the rest of Colorado’s ski areas, shut down the middle of March this year, based on the Governors order due to the threat of COVID-19 spreading. Images like this in 2020 are became a bit more limited, as access to the ski area dropped a month early this year.
One of the wonderful amenities of Telluride, is the Gondola. So, even if you aren’t a skier, you’re able to travel for free between the Mountain Village up on the mountain, down into the classic town of Telluride. This allows for some incredible views of the surrounding area from the gondola for sunrise and sunset, and also allows you to avoid the crowds of skiers that use the gondola during lift hours.
This image, “Sunset on the Aspen“, was taken while descending into Telluride, on the gondolla that connects Mountain Village to old town Telluride.
