From my trip this past month back to Colorado, “Sunset on the Green Mountain Trail” is now available for purchase – both on our site, as well as at FineArtAmerica.com .
Growing up in Denver, I’ve hiked Green Mountain numerous times – this area is also known as “William Frederick Hayden Park”. The south section of the mountain (it’s not really a mountain – more of a hill on the west side of town) – is one of my favorite places to hike, as it’s easy to get to, and gives views of the Front Range, looking from Pikes Peak up to Mt. Morrison. In the image, Mt. Morrison is the “peak” – right below it, on the slopes of Mt. Morrison, is Red Rocks Amphitheater, one of the worlds best venue’s for concerts (if you saw U2 Under a Blood Red Sky – it was filmed there!). And, sunset over the Rocky Mountains from the trail – always enjoyable!
