Yes, Arizona does get snow – check out a Snowbowl Powder day!
I just got back from a quick ski trip up to Flagstaff to enjoy a some El Nino fresh powder. I’ve skied Snowbowl a couple of times, and have never experienced Snowbowl Powder conditions that approach this. Prior to my getting up there, the ski area had received nearly 5 feet of fresh powder over the previous week. The new image, available at Fine Art America as well as on the Pono Images website, was taken while riding the Agassiz chairlift right after the lifts opened.
Going up the lift, it was about 6 degrees out, not a cloud in the sky, about 6 inches of powder from the night before, and some of the best skiing I’ve ever experienced. And, I’ve never seen pillows of snow on the pines like this – hope you enjoy the view of a Snowbowl Powder Day!
