New Maui sunset image from Pono Images
One of the great things about digital photography, versus the film that I shot years ago, is you’re not confined to shooting 24 or 36 exposures, hoping for the best. Instead, you can crank out as many photos as your SD card will hold. Which means for me, there’s always a great shot that I miss doing something with the first time around – that undiscovered shot that on second glance, has a feel that makes it worth doing something with.
“Sunbeam Sunset” is one of those shots. Taken from the West Maui coastline between Honokowai and Kahana, watching sunbeams light up the Pacific and dinner cruise sailboat, sailing at sunset between Moloka’i, Lana’i, and Maui. Prints of this photograph are available both off the Pono Images website, as well as through Fine Art America. Photos available in multiple sizes and media, from glossy prints to framed canvas.
